Featuring an awesome Sledding With Tigers cover of Taylor Swift
Now That’s What I Call Music (That I Don’t Particularly Care For):
IS DONE AND FINISHED AND HOORAY.A while back, I asked a bunch of my friends to record covers of their least favorite songs. Other people found out about it, and now we have 34 covers. PRETTY GNARLY. Anyway, here they are.
The challenge was not to be a dick about it, and I think we may have succeeded?
Some of these are really amazing, and some are not the greatest, but HEY, who cares? FYI, Track order has nothing to do with my personal preference.
Thanks to everyone who submitted. THIS IS SO SILLY.
Nene Valley strategy documents are back from the printers - pretty pleased with how this piece turned out in the end - square format in particular I really like…
Working up ideas for a new range of posters etc for The Nene Valley. Trying to develop the previous branding a little with a slightly gentler headline font, I also like the random little touch of dropping that word there too….
Found this guitar in the recycling centre in Rugby a couple of weeks back and have been wishing I’d bought it ever since. Love that random Knight / Dragon painting on there!
Had the pleasure of interviewing olafur a few years back and he was an absolute prince - even 30 minutes after a show when Im sure he had much better things to do
How can music be happy and sad at the same time? Listen to Ólafur Arnalds’ work and you’ll hear it.
Watch the Icelandic musician re-imagine his magnificent work with a small orchestra (28 musicians known as the LPR Ensemble) and guest singer Arnor Dan, at (Le) Poisson Rouge. Filmed on April 18.

Too excited for words about this:
Lazy Acre is super super proud to announce that (in collaboration with our handsome friends at Alcopop Records) we will be shortly releasing a new album from one of our favourite bands The Crimea.
Its fair to say that we here on Lazy Acre have been in love with this band since we first saw Davey singing about Baby Booms and Lottery Winners on Acid years back at the Shepherds Bush Empire. To be able to release this new album (which is coming out on super sexy double 12” vinyl) is a genuine honour and we are stoked to be working with the awe-inspiring Alcopop to bring it to you.
As well as the album, the band are set to return this summer with a slot at 2000 Trees festival and a headline show at The Jazz Café in London.
Based around the lovelorn lyrics of Davey McManus, Square Moon is a dazzling technicolour tour de force through woozy pop, ragged folk and desolate piano led tracks – best exemplified by the track LAST PLANE OUT OF SAIGON which can be heard here::::
We hope you love as much as we do xx
Found this in a corner of the library warehouse in Northampton today - kind of a creepy place anyway and then found this…. :-/
So here is the Northamptonshire Food and Drink guide I think I’ve mentioned on here recently. Pretty please with how this came out…. There is a second cover which I will share shortly too… both covers feature photography from this guy who is beyond awesome.
You can pick it up in all kinds of food and drink places in Northamptonshire now.
Have even doing a whole load of various design bits for the Nene Valley project over the last year or so.
This stakeholder document is the biggest piece so far and have really enjoyed being able to stretch the concept a bit instead of having to find one image that says everything.
Will share a link to the finished piece when it’s done.
Really loving the new fan feature that Bandcamp have just rolled out.
Essentially it means that whenever I pick up new releases it adds it to my collection and shows my followers what I’ve been listening to. From a label point of view it means that when people pick up our releases, those fans will be promoting us to their friends…
Its a neat little add and one that I think opens up loads of cool social elements… Cant wait to see how it develops.
In the meantime you can check out some recent purchases over here.
